September is the new January

With September now upon us, it is the perfect time for a fresh start.

September has been billed as the unofficial second New Year, where resolutions and targets can be made.

Children go back to school, freshers get fresh and a new series of Strictly starts!!

Change is needed as we back into our normal routines. That is why a new health and fitness drive is the perfect opportunity to focus on some ‘you time’.

It is also an opportunity to beat the back to work blues and focus on your own self-improvement game plan.

September through to November is a great time to target a new exercise routine, before the overindulgence season of Christmas and New Year begins.

As with any change however, making little tweaks step by step, helps build real and consistent change, rather than trying to enforce an over optimistic and often too strict fitness or nutrition strategy. That is just set to fail.

January and September are my 2 busiest months with lots of new clients starting Pilates classes, however don’t be like most and go AWOL at the end of the month..! See if you can make a longer term commitment. You will notice such positive change.

A fit and active body is not only going to help how you feel, act and behave better, but it will certainly help you succeed at work when you tackle new projects, reports and take on new responsibilities.
